Dive Master

Dive Master® for Apple Watch® is a real-time scuba diving visualization tool for certified

scuba divers incorporating commonly used recreational dive parameters into an intuitive

graphical interface. Developed exclusively for Apple Watch®, Dive Master provides real-time

diving visualization and advisory indicators in a clear and intuitive graphical format.

Dive Master’s interface visually represents the diver’s depth relative to advisory depth

guidelines derived from model-based calculations. As depth, time, and gas usage change,

these visual indicators update in real time, allowing divers to clearly interpret their position

within the water column while preserving diver responsibility and judgment.

Dive Master presents visual indicators and alerts related to the depth guidelines in real

time as the dive progresses, allowing divers to understand how their position in the water

column relates to the advisory guidelines. By showing the diver’s position relative to these

guidelines, changes in both current depth and guideline positions can be interpreted at a

glance, rather than through complex numeric readouts that may distract the diver. This

helps lower the diver’s task load, allowing for greater enjoyment while diving.

Dive Master also provides real-time safety stop depth and timing consistent with standard

recreational diving practices, supports multiple dives, and provides graphical dive logs that

allow divers to review their dive history directly on Apple Watch after the dive.

Safety and reliability are central to Dive Master’s design. The app incorporates reliable

software practices, conservative operating assumptions, and includes mechanisms to

confirm software update status before diving.

Dive Master is intended for recreational scuba diving by certified scuba divers. The

application is limited to no-decompression recreational diving profiles and does not

support technical diving or planned decompression diving. Dive Master does not replace

diver training, planning, or judgment, and it does not control any life-support equipment.

Divers are responsible for complying with local regulations and dive operator requirements,

and for carrying any equipment required for their specific dive.

Dive Master is only compatible with Apple Watch Ultra (all models).
